A new way of eye treatment, is now very fantastic . a very small robot can ‘explore’ the patient's eye. This robot was programmed to deliver the drug until perform micro-surgery on patient's eye.
This robot is the invention of Michael Kummer and his team at the Institute of Robotics and Intelligent Systems (IRIS) in Zurich, Switzerland. Kummer’s Robot injected into the eye through a needle and controlled by electromagnetic power to reduce the power requirements of fuel.
In fact, the robot has not been used in the human eye, but it still have tested on pig’s eyes that already died. Kumer and his team plan to test the robot on the animals are still alive soon.
